Welcome to Lange Aviation!
19 Years of Antares – Where do we stand today?
With all our knowledge, a good deal of enthusiasm and a big idea we started out in 1996. Six years later, in 2003, our Antares 20E was the worldwide first electric glider produced in a series to enter the market. It was then certified by EASA in 2006. Today there is a broad agreement in the aviation industry that electric aircraft will be our future; former doubters have changed their minds and are meanwhile busy working on their own concepts and solutions. We are welcoming this evolution!
Our Antares has however long demonstrated its suitability for daily use – many of our content customers like to share their experience. Our labor invested in innovation, development and integration was rewarded in 2010 with the well-respected Lindbergh Trophy. A big honor for our development- and production-team! In addition, in 2011 we won the Berblinger Prize. Our company follows the general principle of innovation and perfection.
Today the Antares 20E fleet has logged more than 80,000 hours in the air. We could thus verify our innovative ideas worldwide and we are looking forward to carry our productivity, quality and safety on to the future.
Our array of products around the Antares-series does meanwhile have a broad base. In addition to working on our products we are involved in a dense research network: Much attention has been given to our Antares H2, which is a good example of how to synergize development ideas with research and take advantage of both. The successor Antares H3, on which we are still intensively working, will give an even better example of how to use synergy effects. Therefore a group of top-class international industrial partners has teamed up to jointly advance a number of thrilling projects.
